6. Data Privacy Laws (Including California)
Some of our business clients have legal obligations under specific privacy laws (for example, state privacy laws such as those in California, or other regional laws) when they collect and use personal data about their customers.
For those clients, we generally act as their service provider/processor. We process personal data only on their instructions and only for the purposes described in our agreement with them.
We do not “sell” or “share” personal data in the sense used in California privacy laws.
When a client is required to respond to a privacy request from one of their customers (such as access, deletion, or “do not sell” requests), we will reasonably assist the client in fulfilling that request in systems we manage for them, as described in our Data & Privacy Addendum.
Our contracts, including this Privacy Policy, are governed by Arizona law as described in our Terms of Service and client agreements. Nothing in this section gives any person rights beyond those provided by the laws that actually apply to them.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in our control, including encryption in transit, restricted access, and use of reputable cloud providers.
No system can be guaranteed 100% secure. We encourage you to maintain strong security controls on your own systems and accounts.
8. Data Retention
We keep website‑related data for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law.
For client data, retention and deletion are governed by your client agreements, our Data & Privacy Addendum (if applicable), and offboarding terms.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make material changes that affect clients, we will notify active clients by email and indicate when the changes will take effect.
Continued use of our services after the effective date of an updated Policy will be treated as acceptance of the changes.
